The Telegraph: The tax office is more likely than ever to catch you out if you have filled in your tax return incorrectly, experts warned last week. With the deadline for completing your self-assessment tax return fast approaching – it's January 31 – Richard Mannion, tax director at Smith & Williamson, warned that HMRC had "far more detail at their disposal than just a few years ago".
