Mansion tax could hit 40,000 homes in capital, says minister

Evening Standard: Treasury research has revealed there could be 40,000 homes in London hit by a “mansion tax”. The data emerged after a Conservative Treasury minister claimed homeowners affected by the levy on properties valued above £2 million would on average foot a £35,000 bill.
